Kathy Yaeji Lee moved between Queens, Atlanta and Seoul before studying graphic design and East Asian studies. College radio and Pittsburgh after-hours parties turned her into a DJ; 2017 EPs made her a festival regular. With a Hammer (2023) pushed her into jazz-tinged, sample-based analog experimentation while she still DJs worldwide.
